Teresa F. "MeMe" Coffey

Teresa Faye “MeMe” (Schade) Coffey, 67, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at Augusta Health. Born October 24, 1948 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Marie E. (Cohron) Schade. Teresa was a member of Stuarts Draft Baptist Church. In earlier years, she was employed by Hollister and later Target Distribution where she was a faithful employee of both places until she retired. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and family. Those who knew her will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred James “Freddie” Coffey. Survivors include her three loving sons, Todd A. Coffey and wife, Kaki of Raphine, Troy A. Coffey and wife, Melanie of Greenville and Terry A. Coffey and wife, Krissy of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren, Kara, Hannah, Jacob and Wyatt Coffey and Jordan, Aaron and Zachary Gray; two sisters, Gloria Templeton of Stuarts Draft and Cindy Martin and husband, Jerry of Alexandria, VA; best friend, Shirley Phillips; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, with Rev. Charles Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Chris, Jeff and Scott Templeton, John and Zack Bostic, Mike Rexrode, Chris Marshall and Derek Mull. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the funeral home.
