Marc Riddle

Marc Daniel “Danny” Riddle, 76, of Stuarts Draft, passed away after a full and rewarding life, on Thursday, July 11th, 2024 at his home. Danny was born in Rockbridge County to Ted and Ruby (Hall) Riddle on June 19th, 1948. He attended school at Lee High, where he ran Cross Country, graduating in 1965. Danny was an Eagle Scout, ran a Karate studio for 14 years and was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He met his wife, Kathy Mohler in 1978 and have been by each other’s side ever since. Danny retired from Western State after 33 years of service. In his spare time, Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing music. He was a talented musician who enjoyed a broad spectrum of genres. In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by a brother, Blair Coiner. Danny is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Mohler; a son, Sean Riddle and wife Libby of Verona; and a daughter, Kit Riddle of Lake Tahoe, CA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Eli Kitchell, Hannah Bademian, Jasper Donley, Emma Riddle and Abby Riddle; as well as his great grandchildren, Gwen and Ethan Bademian. In addition, the family wishes to recognize his special friends, Billy Cason, Kevin Norene and Jackie Duff. These individuals were instrumental in caring for and checking in on Danny. Lastly, Danny is survived by his beloved pets, Boochie and Katie. Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be conducted at a later date.
