Katie Ellen (Zook) Troyer

Born August 22, 1947 in Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Amos C. and Mollie (Byler) Zook.

Katie was a member of Pilgrim Christian Fellowship Church, Stuarts Draft, VA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward N. Troyer; stillborn son, Samuel Glen Troyer; three brothers, Alan Zook, Chris Zook, and Henry Zook; and three sisters, Lydia Schrock, Florence Miller, and Barbara Miller.

Survivors include her eight children, Kenneth Troyer and wife, Sharon, of Waynesboro, VA, Wayne Troyer and wife, Joyce, of Staunton, VA, Vernon Troyer and wife, Mary Ann, of Taylorsville, NC, Nelson Troyer and wife, Marie, of Warsaw, MO, Rosanna Beachy and husband, Philip, of Fredonia, KY, Katura Troyer of Stuarts Draft, VA, Jonathan Troyer and wife, Andrea, of Stuarts Draft, VA, and Henry Troyer of Concord, AR; 32 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane Beachy and husband, Leroy of Millersburg, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Pilgrim Christian Fellowship Church, 240 Twin Hill Road, Stuarts Draft, VA.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at the church. The family will receive friends again following the funeral service from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Crowley’s Ridge Mennonite Church, 28447 County Road 307, Advance, MO with a graveside service following the visitation in the church cemetery.
