Elizabeth Miller

Born June 6, 1930, in Thomas, Oklahoma, daughter of the late Tobias and Mattie (Yoder) Miller, she moved with her family to Stuarts Draft, VA, in 1950, where she met Irvin Miller, her husband of 68 years. They were married on September 20, 1951. She faithfully supported her husband in his many interests and projects. She was a charter member of Pilgrim Christian Fellowship, and was a lifelong, loyal supporter. She enjoyed serving others by caring for her family, serving countless meals, babysitting grandchildren, and was known as Mama Miller to many children of her day-care years. Grandma’s box of crackers was always a highlight for the grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin, her parents, one brother, four sisters, one daughter-in-law, Rosy, one grandson, Dale, one great granddaughter, Jocelyn, and one great-grandson, Joshua.

Survivors include eleven children: Maynard (Shirley) Miller, Stuarts Draft, VA; Edna (Stanley) Mast, Concord, AR; Allen (Joanna) Miller, Stuarts Draft, VA; Fern (Marlin) Miller, Kalona, IA; Sarah (Jay) Mast, Goodspring, TN; Freeman (Emily) Miller, Amherst, VA; Truman (Irene) Miller, Stuarts Draft, VA; Floyd (Luella) Miller, Flintville, TN; Rose Miller, Stuarts Draft, VA; Eldon (Faith) Miller, Myerstown, PA; Merle Miller, Stuarts Draft, VA; 47 grandchildren, 101 great-grandchildren, one brother, three sisters and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Pilgrim Christian Fellowship Church from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday, December 13th, 2024. A funeral service will be held at Pilgrim Christian Fellowship Church on Saturday, December 14th, at 10:30 AM.

The family wishes to express gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from her church and community. They also want to share their appreciation to the Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes for their caring services.

Burial will be at the Pilgrim Cemetery.
