Carol R. Curry

Carol R. Curry, 61 of Stuarts Draft passed away early Saturday January 14, 2012 at Augusta Health. She was born August 24, 1950 in Waynesboro, daughter of Carl S. Ritchie and the late Thelma Sue Brown Ritchie. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Lynwood Ritchie. Mrs. Curry was an LPN having worked at Carilion Family Medicine in Staunton and was a member of Stuarts Draft Baptist Church. Survivors include her father, Carl S. Ritchie of Stuarts Draft; her husband, Charles L. Curry; two daughters, Carla Curry, Cheryl Ryder and fiancé Will, all of Stuarts Draft; five grandchildren, Arielle and Sierra Gitchell, Ryan Cash, Justin and Elizabeth Dudley; three sisters, Viola Harman, Diane Lockridge and husband Luke, Janet Sorrells and husband Fred. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. Following cremation, a private service will be conducted at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1920 H.
