Alice Juanita (Harris) Lowery

Born March 27, 1927 in Augusta County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha (Nuckols) Harris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl James Lowery; daughter, Alice Jane Dooms; one brother; seven sisters.

Survivors include her loving children, Judy Ann Davis and husband, Edward of Grottoes, Ellen Lawhorne and Steve Chittum of Waynesboro, Carolyn Jones and husband, Kenneth Wilfong of Waynesboro and Connie Swann and husband, Robert of Fishersville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister, Ada Brown of Stuarts Draft; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as best friend, Frances Huffman of Greenville.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Greenmont Fellowship Church Cemetery with Pastor Earl Monroe officiating and Darlene Robertson.

Active pallbearers will be Robert Swann, Autumn Swann, Tony Lowery, Frankie Lowery, Jackie Lowery and Keith Lowery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
