OBITUARY

Alan Stacy

19 October, 195526 July, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alan Stacy announces his passing. Alan was a father, grandfather, brother and friend. In his early years he served in the United States Air Force. A man of many talents he opened one of the first video stores “Family Video” in Steeles Tavern, Stuarts Draft and Churchville. Alan worked for over 20 years at Alcoa (Ply-gem) and retired from Hershey Chocolate in Stuarts Draft. Alan spent the last two years tirelessly dedicated to the care of his wife of 41 years, Melissa Stacy until her passing in December of 2023. Alan was a family man at heart. He showed unconditional love to his family and was the person you could count on. He raised his children teaching them skills as they were building ponds, or a project around the home. He gave advice but also welcomed it. Alan put his family first and his example was demonstrated through his boys as they put him first in his greatest time of need. His grandchildren were faithful helpers, he looked forward to their visits, he loved the time he spent with them. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ramona Stacy, his wife, Melissa Stacy, a daughter, Kim Stacy and a sister, Le Jeana Stacey. He is survived by his sons, Stephen Stacy (Brook Galford), Ben Stacy (Shelly Simmons), grandchildren, Jayden Stacy, Brynleigh Stacy, Ella Galford, Shannon Anderson; brother, Phillip Farley; sisters, Beverly Stacy, Linda Ingram and husband, Kenny Ingram; sister and brother in laws, Arlene Celeste Henderlong, Gael Victoria Whitman, Lynnda Rae Kovach and husband Debbie McGann, as well as many nephews, countless friends and acquaintances. He carried himself with dignity and strength and gave of himself until he no longer could. Those who knew him and loved him realize how lucky we are to have had someone who makes saying good bye so hard. A chapter completed, a page turned, a life well lived, a rest well earned. A loving father who will never be forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor David Ball officiating. Casual dress is welcomed. Relatives and friends may share condolences and memories with the family online by visiting www.reynoldshamrickfuneralhomes.com
