Thomas Kozinsky

Tom was born on January 11, 1945 to Olga and Joseph Kozinsky in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The family of five moved to Jamesburg where he attended Jamesburg High School where he served as president of his class and star defensive soccer player, winning the state championship.

In 1965, Tom fell in love and married Dawn Seppi and relocated to Edison, New Jersey. They had two children, Jennifer and Thomas. Tom and Dawn celebrated over 57 happily married years together bound by love, honor, and devotion.

In 1996, Tom and Dawn moved to Stuart, Florida to enjoy the natural beauty of Florida. Tom enjoyed bowling in a local league & playing golf to his heart’s desire. He was a Philadelphia sports fan, an Elvis fanatic, and avidly collected sports memorabilia. He and Dawn were active members of Ascent Church in Stuart since its beginning. A church family that was near and dear to his heart.

Tom beat esophageal cancer over 24 years ago! Doctors had given him a 3% chance of survival. He attributed his remarkable healing to Christ, his savior, as well as the unwavering support from his wife and family. He was strong, humorous, generous, and devoted to his family.

Tom was predeceased by his parents and brother Daniel and sister, Helen.. He is survived by his fiercely devoted and loving wife, Dawn. Daughter, Jennifer DeRita, son, Thomas, granddaughter, Jordyn Penta, grandchildren, Thomas, Samuel, and Sophia Kozinsky, daughter-in-law Rosa, son-in-law Brian Derita, sister-in-law Anna, brother-in-law Mike Seppi and wife Pat, brother Nick Kozinsky, wife Elaine and many loving nieces, nephews, & extended family. All of whom he loved deeply.

Viewing will be held at Aycock Funeral Home Young & Prill Chapel located at 6891 SE Federal Hwy, Stuart, Fl. 34997 on Thursday, May 4th from 5-8pm. All are invited to join us for a memorial service on Friday evening at 5pm at Ascent Church 4175 SE Cove Road, Stuart to celebrate and honor Tom’s life!
