It with great sadness that the family of Nancy Shaplin (78) announces her passing on November 25, 2019, after a nine-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was also a breast cancer survivor. Nancy loved life and lived it to the fullest.
She loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to movies and plays with friends, traveling wherever and whenever possible and spending time with and bragging about her grandchildren. She was always active in the community and provided countless hours volunteering. She loved to entertain and touched the lives of everyone that she met.
She is survived by her daughter, Beth, son, Jay, daughter-in-law Chandra and her grandchildren – Emma, Kelly and Jacob. She is predeceased by her husband, Larry.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Nancy Shaplin may be directed to support pancreatic research at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. Please make checks payable to Johns Hopkins University.
