Sadly, I have only learned in recent weeks of Jerrys passing two years ago gone . When I finished working  at the Kingsley Hotel, we lost contact and I was in Killarney just before Christmas 2023 and I asked had you both ,the  house in Killarney to be told to my shock of Jerrys demise. I am so sorry for your loss and apologise for my late condolence. I called to your offices at Cape May on many  occasions up to when his Mom was still living and working there. May his gentle soul be at peace and my hope for you is to find to solace in the wonderful life he lived and the one you shared together. Thinking of you..

I met Jerry when he and Ann worked at Falcon Travel. We were pretty regular companions for several years before he moved to Cape May. He was great at his job (as his later success proved) and a wonderful, fun companion. We are so happy he was able to find the joy he deserved. We have nothing but the best memories of Jerry and his warm, generous nature.  We were so sorry to hear of this and our condolences go out to his family.

Josephine and family, I was saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. I remember Jerry so well, he was always so lovely and friendly.  Pamela Lucey former Killarney park staff. 

Yesterday was your Wedding Anniversary. So darn sad not to be able to celebrate you and Jo. You had a love  for the ages. Miss you, Jerry  😢

I met Jerry at a golf show in Philadelphia at Sommerton Springs Golf Shop just when he started the business. We had stands next to each other and immediately struck up a friendship. A few months later my whole family came up to visit in Cape May. His parents made lunch and dinner for us. Only to miss the last ferry back to MD. But what a laugh we had. 

He was a true gentleman and a wonderful human being and will be sorely missed by all. May he RIP

Jerry Quinlan was a great person - a pleasure to know and to work with. His kindness and generosity of spirit were inspiring. He will be missed very much. Thinking of you Josephine, and all at Celtic Golf, and wishing you strength and peace.

Jack & I were deeply shocked & saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Jerry.  Our thoughts are with Josephine, the Family & all at Celtic Golf who were instrumental and so supportive to us at the Dunvegan Hotel, St. Andrews.  We will remember Jerry fondly .......he loved his life & made special life long memories for Golfers across the Globe.   I saw Jerry for the last time in Ireland in 2018 at the Killarney Park Hotel where he was meeting and greeting & doing what he loved always going above and beyond even opening up his home to us.    Will be sadly missed & remembered affectionately.   


I worked with Jerry and Maureen at TWA. Jerry was a sweet and a very caring guy.  There was a time where I needed help with cleaning and organizing my basement.  We were all in our early twenties.  Jerry was so very helpful.  He chipped right in and helped.   I will always remember what a nice guy and caring person he was. Also, remembering what good knowledge he had of TWA’s product we sold to our customers.

Our Deepest and Heartfelt condolences to the Quinlan  Family on the untimely passing of Jerry.  My first memory of Jerry  was of him calling to our home in Mayo many years ago to trace his family roots.  He was a pleasant and quiet spoken young man and brought a bottle of whiskey to my parents.  He said his mother had told him to do this...  Later his mum Peg and Aunt Sr.Beatrice contacted us and we became very good friends. We also met Jack and more recently Lori. Their good nature and kindness was always very evident.  We are so privileged to have met this family and been touched by their goodness through Jerry’s visit many years ago.  May Jerry Rest In Eternal Peace In the company of his family gone before him. May God comfort  Jerry’s wife Josephine and extended  Quinlan family.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.   

Jerry… the consummate gentleman… the best of the best! Quiet …until he wasn’t , and then he would make you laugh right out loud ! Kind and generous, he loved his life… his wife, his family and friends, his work… which brought joy to so many. A loss beyond measure, but a life beautifully lived. We will think of you always .

I was both shocked and saddened last week to hear we lost an amazing gentleman and friend in Jerry Quinlan.  He invited me and a few PGA Executive Directors to Ireland in 2002, my first trip of a lifetime to Ireland.  Since then, I have enjoyed three more Ireland trips of a lifetime with Celtic Golf and look forward to another in August.   Jerry, thank you for introducing me to Ireland.  Thank you for sharing your love of Ireland and its wonderful people with me...it is contagious, and I have caught it.   To close with the last line of an Irish Blessing you shared at our closing dinners, "Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand."  You will be missed.  Prayers for the Quinlan family from Montana.

My deepest condolences to the Quinlan family on the sad passing of Jerry. I worked as receptionist at The Killarney Park Hotel for five years and have very fond memories of Jerry and indeed Josephine. Jerry most always had a twinkle in his eye and loved good fun. I was very shocked and saddend to hear of Jerrys untimely passing. He was in his adopted town of Killarney only the week before Xmas. I (along with Paddy O Looney RIP )  met Jerry in the early days and worked closely with him and Josephine while he grew his very successful business Celtic Golf.  A man of high integrity, it was only fitting that Jerry succeeded in life. His cool calm demeanour and welcoming broad smile made Jerry a good man to be around. He and Josephine were a loving devoted couple and created a big impression upon people they met. I can remember some great days (and nights..) with Jerry, Jo, Jack and Peg and the good years at the PGA when he and others kept the flag flying for Ireland. 
To a heartborken Josephine and extended Family may I personally and on behalf of our SWING board express hearfelt sympathy on your very sad loss. Jerry thread softly on the Fairways of Heaven reunited with your beloved Jack and Peg.

Growing up I always knew my brother Jerry was kind and a gentleman, just like our Dad, Jack. He is intelligent, hard working, a bit shy. Jerry loved to laugh, the kind of laugh where he threw his head back and smiled that big Jerry smile. He is a great listener and his first question to me was always asking about my kids, Brandon and Gracie. I will treasure our funny family stories and growing up in our big Irish family with 6 kids. He cared deeply about everyone he met along his life's global journey. He loved working side by side with Mom and Dad and founding Celtic Golf in the late 80's. Jerry deeply loved Josephine, his wife, partner and soulmate. They are the inspiration for a true partnership within a marriage. Thank you Jo for taking such amazing care of our Jerry for the past 30 years. Only time will heal our shattered hearts. For now, I prefer to think of him as playing golf in Ireland and being held in the loving arms of God and our parents, Peg and Jack Quinlan in Heaven. I will miss him every day of my life. Compassionate ,  empathetic and a listener with a mischievous smile - and so so proud of Josephine- his right hand woman.  This is what made him the great man that he was.

I find this very difficult. We lost a wonderful man. A man with a huge heart. I have so many fond memories of Jerry. So let me just send my sincere condolences to the Quinlan family. 

I am so sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. One of life’s gentleman who brought so many American visitors  to Ireland to play golf and enjoy our Country. He helped  people in Ireland to build and develop their customer base which allowed their businesses to thrive. A true friend who will be sadly missed. Deepest condolences to his wife Jo and family.

It is hard to overstate Jerry's impact on golf in Ireland.  His hard work and brave spirit created an industry, and he gave the gift of Irish golf to thousands of people around the world.  It is a gift that changed my life in immeasurable ways, and so many of us have Jerry to thank for our live's best memories.  But to remember him just for his golf trips misses the best stuff--Jerry was, quite simply, a great guy.  We say that about people--he's a great guy--but in Jerry's case, he set the standard.  There was not an unkind bone in his body.  He was one of the rare people whose name itself brought a smile to your face.  And his devotion to and affection for Josephine goes beyond anything I could try to capture here.  Being around him made you want to love life a little more, and cherish the day you've been given.  Rest in peace, my friend.  Your name will always bring a smile, and will be shared fondly here and in Ireland for a long time to come.

  I can't begin to describe the feeling of loss.  Jerry Quinlan's Celtic Golf has a very special place in my heart.  My Father and I were always happy to solicit your services for numerous trips to Ireland.  As Jerry was aware, we lost dad in April of last year.  I will never forget the first annual Quinlan's Celtic Golf Father / Son in April 1996.  I also remember seeing Jerry at Killarney Park during a visit in 2015.  In typical Jerry fashion, he took the time to flag me down and spend a few minutes reminiscing which meant the World to me.  We are looking forward to our trip to Spain (arranged by Tracey) later this year and will go knowing that Jerry's legacy remains.  Jerry will always be remembered as a very kind gentleman always concerned about the comfort and experience of his loyal clientele.  Please know that you and the rest of the Quinlan family are in our thoughts and prayers.
