Born February 26, 1927, in Taunton, Massachusetts, Mrs. Myrick’s life was a testament to the values she held most dear: family, faith and love. She cherished family above all else, never missing an opportunity to express her deep affection.
Mrs. Myrick’s never-wavering Christian faith served as her unshakable foundation, and she was deeply devoted to her spiritual community at Tropical Farms Baptist Church. Known for her tender heart, she displayed a genuine, disarming kindness to everyone she encountered.
Mercy and forgiveness guided her. Strength, virtue and integrity were cornerstones of Mrs. Myrick’s life story. A quick wit and robust sense of humor never failed to bring joy and laughter to those around her. She lived an active and vibrant life, frequently traveling and engaging in a variety of hobbies and activities. An avid fan of NASCAR team Hendrick Motorsports, Mrs. Myrick was also a gifted artist who excelled in drawing, music, writing original poetry and nurturing her magnificent flowering plants.
Mrs. Myrick was a patriot who held a lifelong reverence for the defenders of our nation, a sentiment rooted in her pride as an Air Force spouse. She dedicated her time as a volunteer at Martin South Memorial Hospital and was a cherished regular at City Diner for daily lunches. Mrs. Myrick also adored her weekly neighborhood game groups and had a passion for collecting beautiful figurines.
To her compassionate doctors and caregivers, Mrs. Myrick’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude. Your loving care meant so very much to her.
Mrs. Myrick was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Myrick; beloved daughter Vallie Myrick; and precious grandson Ricky Hendrick. She is survived by daughter Linda Hendrick and husband Rick; son William Myrick and wife Mary; granddaughter Lynn Carlson and husband Marshall; grandson Michael Myrick and wife Brandy; and great-grandchildren Kate Carlson, Ricki Hendrick and Hendrick Carlson. She is also survived by niece Tanya Curran and husband Mike; nephew David Lewis and wife Karen; and dear family members Emily and Tyler Johnson and their children, Jennings, Gibson, Gatlin, Nola Belle and Jones.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, at 2 p.m. at Tropical Farms Baptist Church in Stuart, Florida. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in honor of Mrs. Myrick to Tropical Farms Baptist Church, 1555 SW Kanner Highway, Stuart, FL 34997.
Mrs. Myrick’s life was a shining example of love, faith and strength. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
