Carlyn Meiners Laser

Carlyn Meiners Laser passed away on October 20th, 2022. She was 86 years old. Carlyn was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Carlyn spent 62 years of her life happily married to William (Bill) C. Laser. Bill and Carlyn were each other's best friend and soulmate. She lived her childhood and adolescence in Evanston, IL, her summers in Ephraim, WI, her married life with children in Lake Forest, IL, and her retirement in Stuart, FL.

Carlyn was a graduate of Evanston Township High School, IL, and Northwestern University, IL. She had a degree in elementary education. Carlyn was a frequent volunteer in the Lake Forest public school district 67, a volunteer candy striper at Lake Forest Hospital, and a reader for the Braille Institute.

She was fun, adventurous, and loved to laugh. She had a passion for travel, a thirst for knowledge, and fabulous taste in art, cuisine, and literature.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Laser in January 2022.  She is survived by her daughters Julie Laser and Carla Laser, her grandchildren Ariana Castro and Orion Castro, and her great grandson Aidan Castro.
