Rita Quirk, born Rita O'Connor, 84, of Stony Point, NY and formerly the Bronx, died at her home on December 3, 2016. Mrs. Quirk was the daughter of Thomas O'Connor of Hackets Town, Carlow and Nora Osborne of Balleyporeen, Cloughheen, Tipperary, Ireland. She worked in the Recreation Department of Helen Hayes Hospital until her retirement. Mrs. Quirk was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Quirk. She is survived by her five children, six grandchildren, and two sisters. Visiting will be Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Higgins Funeral Home, Rt. 9W, 73 N. Liberty Drive, Stony Point, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Stony Point, NY. Burial to follow at Mt. Repose Cemetery.
