I met Joe in 98 after my divorce on a trip to 6 flags. We hit it off instantly. He was hilarious, playful, fun loving, and a metalhead like me. We hung out for years until he became my brother in law. We did lose contact eventually because I moved around a lot. But I never forgot the fun we had. Light saber fights in the park at night, driving aimlessly upstate, playing video games together. He was a great spirit and the world is darker without him. But God found a great warrior angel with him. Hoorah! my friend.

Joe was the best friend anyone could ever ask for. He had a tough exterior but once you got into his heart, he treated you like family. He loved each of his family and friends uniquely and endlessly. This loss is very difficult to process and it's hard to envision life without him. I always thought that he and I would be laughing together into our 70s. I love you, Joe, the world will never be the same without you.
