Sheldon Missouri Smith

July 19th, 1986 – Feb. 20th, 2023

Sheldon left us peacefully at the age of 36 years. Protected by a shield of love Sheldon’s family held him until he found his way to his eternal home.

A hole has been left in the hearts of his mother Monica Platzer, father Rick Smith, brothers Josh (Kaitlyn and sons) and Brandon Smith, sisters Courtney Smith and Trinity Mc David, stepmom Colleen Keller and his beautiful daughters Alice and Piper Smith (the light of his life). He will be lovingly remembered by Nana and Papa, Aunts, Uncles and cousins as well as countless friends.

Sheldon was born in High Prairie, Alberta. and became the joy of the entire family. His siblings Josh and Brandon followed as the family moved to Wabamun. There are friends, there are best friends and then there are brothers. A fearless leader he was as Josh and Brandon were taken on many adventures. His Sister’s joined the family years later and he teased and irritated well still loyally protecting them.

His zest for life and laughter were contagious as he formed strong bonds with his classmates at Memorial Composite High in Stony Plain. He lived 10 years to our 1. His laughter filled a room, and his arsenal of jokes and stories lifted his listeners. We just wanted to spend our days laughing with you.

Sheldon’s passion for street bikes or dirt bikes allowed his free spirit to soar, to live large, and ride hard. This cemented his existence and gifted him a calm, this is where Sheldon found himself.

You will always be in our hearts.

To honour Sheldon a Celebration of Life will be held on April 6, 2023 - 2PM at Keep Hills Community Hall Range Rd 32A, Duffield, AB T0E 0N0
