It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, Sheldon Parsons, who left us on October 21, 2024, at the age of 41. His absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of his family and friends, who cherished his quick wit and sense of humor.
Sheldon had a passion for hockey, and his heart belonged to the Edmonton Oilers. He never missed a game, often refusing calls unless he knew you were watching too. His lively texts during games—filled with commentary on bad calls, great goals, and trades—sparked spirited debates, especially with his dad, George.
He is survived by his father, George Parsons; his mama, Theresa Parsons; his bonus sister, Amanda Picot; his aunt, Deborah (Andre) Lavigne; uncles David Capostinsky and Stanley (Lisa) Warren; cousins Natacha (David) Vaillant-Cleroux, Tia, and Tristan Warren, his beloved dog, Max, and many friends.
Sheldon was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Parsons (Capostinsky), loving grandparents, Helen and William Parsons, and Sam Capostinsky and Anne Pawliwi.
The family plans to hold a celebration of life in the near future to honor Sheldon’s memory.
If Friends desire Memorial Donations may be made in Sheldon's honor to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
