Lorne Cecil Dombroski

November 8, 1927 - December 3, 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorne, who passed away at the age of eighty-four years in Penticton, BC on December 3, 2011. Lorne is survived by his partner Gladys; his children Les (Lynda), Monica (Bob), and Keith; Gladys' children Debbie (Dave), Blanche (Bill) and Karen (Andy); eleven grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and one sister Joyce. He is also survived by numerous other extended family and friends. Lorne was predeceased by his wife Jean, son David "Beaver", parents Fred and Nora and two brothers, Ivan and Allen.

A Funeral Service will be at held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Duffield Community Hall, Duffield AB with Malcolm Davidson officiating, with interment in the Keephills Cemetery, Keephills, AB. In lieu of floral tributes, donations may be made to the medical foundation of one's choice.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Penticton Hospital, Dr. Andrew Robertson, Dr. Forsley, Penticton Emergency Response Services, Penticton RCMP, Jed of the Coroner's Office, staff and management from the Penticton CIBC, and Stony Plain ATB for their care, compassion and assistance during Lorne's illness and passing. A special thank you goes to Gerry, Michelle and Chase Wipf for all their support.
