Gordon grew up in Olds, AB but had been living in the Edmonton area for most of his adult life. He married his true love Britta in 1970, they were just shy of their 45th wedding anniversary. In 1978, Gordon and Britta started building their home on an acreage near Stony Plain where they raised their family. Gordon was passionate about building and fixing every thing he could imagine; including his 1928 Chev. He recently retired from the City of Edmonton after a record 47 years of service. Gordon is survived by his beloved children; Allan, Jeff and Lisa and their respective spouses Bree, Kristine and Scott and grandson Tyler. Gordon’s love and pride for his wife and children were a source of strength and pride that resonated throughout his life.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Parkland Funeral Services, 3502-44th Avenue, Stony Plain, AB with Yvonne Racine officiating.
