Franklin John Popma

1946 - 2019

It is with heavy hearts the family of Mr. Franklin Popma of Darwell, Alberta announce his passing on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the age of 73 years.

Frank will be remembered as a hard worker who loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Frank will forever be loved and missed by his wife of 48 years, Velma who was by his side until he left this world; his 4 children: April Willier (Adrian Lacey), Colleen (Dale) Babiak, Christopher (Grace) Popma and Carolynne Popma (Firmin Ngiomboy); his grandchildren: Isaac, Cedric, Vivianne, Alison, Bradon, Cail and Danielle; his siblings: Theodore (Valerie) Popma, Gladys Jones and Nancy Hagman (Dan Renwick) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Frank was predeceased by his parents John and Grace Popma.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 – 44 Avenue, Stony Plain, Alberta with Interment to follow at the Darwell Cemetery.
