David, affectionately known as “Beetlejuice” by his close friends leaves to mourn his children: Taylor Kerfoot and Chad (Kylie) Kerfoot; his five grandchildren: Theresa and Kadence Henry and Phoenix, Elijah and Amber Kerfoot as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his friend and mother of his children Shelley Kerfoot.
David was well known by his colleagues and friends as a hard-working, intelligent man with a great sense of humor. Through his perseverance and determination, he acquired his Journeyman ticket in welding and was an accomplished mechanic but his true love was driving his heavy haul transport truck. Despite his ongoing and debilitating illness with Schleroderma, he fought to stay behind the wheel of his “big rig” as long as he could.
As per David’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
If friends desire, Memorial Tributes may be made in David’s name to Schleroderma Canada, #203, 41 King William Street, Hamilton, ON L8R 1A2
