Willie Frank Williams was born on April 20, 1950 in Oakland, California to the proud parents of Willie Mae Watson and Frank Williams. He confided in Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Progressive Church in Oakland, CA. He attended schools in Oakland, California. He graduated from Castlemont High School. It was during high school where he met and married his first wife Gloria. From this union they had a son, Frank Williams Jr. They separated and Frank later met Joyette E. Simpson. The two of them shared great times together for many years and they gave birth to a beautiful, lovely daughter name Monique L. Williams. Frank and Joyette married in 1995.
Willie Frank Williams enjoyed traveling to Santa Ana, CA every summer on family vacations to visit his father Frank Williams, step-mom Versie Williams and his brothers and sisters. Frank enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with family, and grandkids.
Frank was a real “tell it to you like it is type of person.” No sugar coating, just real, and to the point! He had a very big heart and he was a kind man with a great personality. One of his favorite saying was, “You have to be smarter than the tools you’re using.”
Frank was employed and worked for years with Pacific Gas & Electric Company from 1970 until his retirement in 2015. He enjoyed his work life at PG&E. Frank will be remembered as a great man, a great father to his kids, the best husband to his wife, and an outstanding grandfather to his grandkids. He was a true provider for his family. He would give you the shirt off his back, that’s who he was.
Frank was preceded in death by his father Frank Williams, stepmom Versie Williams, his brothers Freddie L. Williams, Leroy Thompson Jr., Wilson Watson, stepfather Leroy Thompson, and sister JoAnn McCoy.
