Mr. Milburn Lackey (known as Bill to friends and family) died peacefully in Stockton Ca. on January 3, 2018 at the age of 90. Bill is survived by his daughter Christen, grandson Michael his nephews Larry and Jim Lackey and a niece by marriage; Susan Lackey. He was preceded in death by his parents James T. Lackey and Edith G. Kieffer Lackey and older brother Joe Lackey. The Lackey family first settled in Stockton Ca. right after WWII in the late 1940's. Where the family made many memories and friends. Bill was born on January 28,1927 in Haileyville Oklahoma. He graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in May 1945. He specialized in Industrial Arts as a printer and joined the International Typographical Union. He proudly joined the United States Navy at 17 yrs. of age in 1945. He fought in WWII until the end of the war in 1946. It was because of his service in that great war that Bill always had a high regard for all Veterans and was patriotic to his country. Bill had many interests. He was an excellent bowler and Ping Pong player. He was a big sports fan. He especially liked football and baseball. He loved to relax by driving down scenic country roads. For all his many interests the thing that Bill enjoyed most was socializing with people. He was warm and friendly and enjoyed listening to people's life events and stories: which he could always recall with great detail. To Bill it was people that mattered most. Funeral Service will be held at Chapel on Wed Jan. 17th at 10:00 am
