Manuel E. Acevedo Sr., 93, the son of Guadalupe and Juan Acevedo was born in Texas on January 24, 1929 and passed away peacefully on July 18, 2022 with his loving wife Carmen and granddaughter Angelica at his side. He was a native of Stockton since 1953 a loving husband, father and grandfather, he worked as a Forklift Operator at Diamond Walnut for 30 years all while being known as the “neighborhood mechanic”. He enjoyed taking drives to visit his nephews and browsing cars at the auto mall with his son and granddaughter. Manuel’s passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family who were always entertained by his stories and joking nature. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Carmen Acevedo, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Manuel will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N California St, Stockton, California 95202. A mass of Christian burial will occur Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 3847 N. Sutter Street, Stockton, California. A final resting place will occur Friday, July 29, 2022 at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, California.
