Kathleen Powers Hendrickson

Kathleen Powers Hendrickson, born June 14, 1949 in Visalia, CA, passed away peacefully at home in Stockton, CA on March 17, 2023, following a brave battle with Alzheimer's disease and chronic kidney failure. Left to remember her life and legacy are her husband Edward Hendrickson; her children Kendra Rocha (Sandy Speagle), Jarret Hendrickson (Erika), and Sarah Pixley (Matt Hill) and grandchildren Joseph, Gabrielle and Amelia Rocha; Aiden and Xander Hendrickson; and Jemma Pixley; step-grandchildren Teagen and Cooper Hill, and Madeline and Alexandria Speagle; her sister Mary Powers Antoine Hunt (Gordon Hunt); nieces and nephews Nicole Antoine, Theodore, Jacque and Matthew Powers; and cousins Phillip P.

Menard IV (Susan) and Ann Hanson (Robert). Kathy was preceded in death by her parents William Thomas Powers and Dorothy Staber Powers, and brothers Michael William and Thomas Theodore Powers.

Kathy graduated from Saint Mary's High School, Stockton, CA in 1967. It was during these years when she met the love of her life, Ed. They married on October 14, 1967, and were married for 55 years. She attended the University of San Francisco, where she majored in business administration, and worked for many years as a business manager and bookkeeper.

Kathy was always devoted to her family and friends, and was closely involved with her parish church. She dedicated much time and energy to her many volunteer efforts, embodying her spiritual and community commitments. Kathy loved to spend time with her husband, Ed, and their many close friends. Their home was the scene of many family celebrations and joyous parties. She will be greatly missed.

A rosary vigil will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 6:00 PM at De Young Shoreline Chapel. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Presentation, 6715 Leesburg Place, Stockton, CA.
