Gina Del Rosario Camello was born on April 12, 1975, in Sinait-Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Surrounded by love from her family and friends, Gina passed away, at the age of 47, on August 21, 2022, in Stockton, California.
Gina was born and raised in the beach town of Sinait-Ilocos Sur, Philippines. As a young girl, she enjoyed playing at the beach and helping her fisherman grandpa fish in the ocean. She attended high school at Cabugao Institute where she participated in beauty and talent competitions. In 1991, she immigrated to the United States and resided in Stockton, California with her parents, Arsenio and Samuela, and sisters, Mildred, Janice, and Judith. Upon arriving in the United States, Gina attended San Joaquin Delta College and worked her first job at a local plant nursery. Most evenings and weekends, Gina worked alongside her parents and sisters for the family’s janitorial business. Gina was considered another parent to her younger sisters, Janice and Judith, as she helped care for them and took them to their extracurricular activities.
In 1999, Gina met her loving husband Romando Camello and grew their family with the birth of their first son Adrianne in 2001. Their youngest son, Andrew was then born in 2007. Gina was an extraordinary wife and devoted mother, whose strong Catholic faith and practice centered their family’s values. As a family they spent quality time together by going on hikes, mini-day trips, visiting with family and friends, and attending Adrianne and Andrew’s sporting tournaments and events. Gina was her sons’ biggest cheerleader in their sports and academics.
While working full-time and being a mother, Gina also wanted to continue her education by attending California State University, Stanislaus. In 2004, Gina graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources. Gina’s outgoing and spirited personality led her to work in financial institutions as a customer service representative. She was proud to have dedicated 13 years of service working at F&M Bank in Stockton.
Everyone who knew Gina can say that she was kind, joyful, nurturing, compassionate, generous, and family oriented. Although greatly missed, her everlasting memories and love are imprinted in our hearts forever.
