Carmen Amaya, beloved mother grandmother and great- grandmother passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in French Camp. She was born August 15, 1942 in Durango, Mexico. She is survived by her children, Jesus Romero of Ceres, Inocente Romero of Las Vegas, Marisela Contreras of Fremont, Candelario Lopez of Las Vegas, Minerva Lopez of Las Vegas, Armando Lopez of Stockton, Ricardo Lopez of Stockton, Josefa Lopez of Indiana, Brenda Guerrero of East Palo Alto and Alejandrina Toscano of San Jose. Carmen had 32 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition siblings, Magdalena Amaya, Bernado Amaya, Pablo Amaya, Alejandro Amaya and Teodoro Amaya also survive her.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12:00 PM at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary. Committal will follow at Stockton Rural Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 PM to 8:00 at the funeral home.
