entered UC Berkeley at the age of 16. Upon graduating, she taught school for a few years, and then married Robert Chambers. They had three children,
Cynthia, Peter and Jennifer, and raised them in Stockton. Betty was artistic and was skilled at interior decorating and handcrafts. She loved great food, big dogs, a good read and the Warriors. Most of all, she loved her family. She is survived by her three children; Cynthia Ruff of Napa, Peter Chambers
(Karen) of Visalia and Jennifer Chambers of Alameda; her grandchildren, Lauren Chambers, Alexis Ruff, Rebecca Nakamura, Susannah Champlin and Brendan Champlin; great grandchildren Silas and Owen Nakamura, and niece and nephews Anne Martin, James Rore, Rollin and John Laird, and Christopher and Andrew Chambers. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 30 at 1:30 PM at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, CA.
