Betty Jean Butler, 80 years old, of Chico, CA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 22, 2013. She was born March 10, 1932 in Wewoka, OK and lived in Stockton most of her life until moving to Redding in 2002, then to Chico in 2007. She retired from a 25 year career with Macy's in Stockton, CA.
She was extremely devoted to her family as a sister and aunt to many.
She was preceded in death by her mother Della Butler Williams; father Preston Butler; stepfather Lee Williams and her two sisters, Juanita Stift and Wanda Albritton. She is also survived by her two sisters, Louise Cox of Manteca and Marian Findley of Chico, her aunt Lynn Duffin of Susanville as well as her nephew Frank Albritton, and nieces Jeanetta Erdman, Barbara Hicks, Regina Byrd, Joan Monvik, Charlotte Sylvia and Annette Duck. She was also very close to her many great and great-great nieces and nephews and many other children that she cared for throughout her life. She was also a close friend to many people in her church community. She was a very special lady that loved and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 from 1 to 5 PM at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at 11 AM at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll 809 N. California St. A committal will follow after at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, CA.
