Tony Hewlett George, aged 65, passed away peacefully on December 7,2024, in Conyers, Ga after several years with dementia. He was born on November 6,1959, in Atlanta, Georgia to Jimmy Jackson George, Sr. and Joan George (both deceased). He was a proud resident of Stockbridge, Georgia and was a 1977 graduate of Stockbridge High School.
He loved coaching girls softball and playing baseball. He was a lifelong fan of the Atlanta Braves. He worked at Dart Container as a clerk for 41 years.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Amber Carden of Villa Rica and Ashley George Plouff of Atlanta (Adam), his brother Jimmy “Jackie” George, Jr. of Athens (Cindy), and his 3 grandsons Zachary Carden, Thomas Carden, and Max Plouff. He had many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, a great niece, cousins, and friends that all mourn his loss.
The family and close friends are meeting on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 2pm (1:30pm meeting at resurrection garden) at Horis Ward Fairview for a cemetery memorial to send Tony home to Jesus.
