Thomas Leroy Merrill, Jr.

Thomas was born on February 23, 1951 to Kay and Thomas Merrill, Sr. in Cloquet, Minnesota. He was a loving father, grandfather, and family man who never met a stranger. Anyone in need of advice, guidance, or just a good story could always count on Thomas. He was a gentle giant who loved life. Some of his favorite things included race cars, telling jokes and tall tales, and most importantly honing his craft as a flooring specialist. He was a skilled tile layer who had the honor of doing work for several celebrity clients over the years. Thomas was very much loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Thomas Leroy Merrill, Sr.; one brother, Robert (Bob) Merrill; and one son-in-law, Jose Ford. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mrs. Kay Merrill; his former wife of 44 years, Sharon Merrill, who was always there to help along his journey; two daughters, Tara Ford and Jamie Merrill; three sisters, Janet Levinski (Bud), Peggy Heehn, and Jennifer Worgren (Steve); four grandchildren, Thomas Merrill, Aaron Ford, Ciara Ford, and Trinity Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be announced by the family at a later date.
