Stanley was known by those that loved him most as a “character.” He was his own man, and he lived life to the fullest. If something had a motor, he had probably owned it at one time or another. He loved riding motorcycles and taking his RV on adventures with his wife, Frankie Stevens, and many of their friends.
Stanley and Frankie Stevens married June 14th, 1957. They were married for 14 years before bringing their first and only child, Stephanie Renee' Stevens into the world on September 17, 1971. Stanley was a devoted husband and father and believed he was the luckiest man on Earth. Something he stated often.
Stanley drove a truck for most of his life. A career that allowed him to see the country and find plenty of time to make friends all over. A contented man, Stanley said he never had a job he didn’t like. Stanley served his country in the Air Force reserves as well.
Stanley Stevens will be missed so much by his family and friends. He was a humorous man, known for cracking jokes and telling funny stories. More than that, he was a good and honest man. He worked hard his whole life and protected and provided for his family. He leaves behind his beloved Wife Frankie Stevens; Daughter, Stephanie Stevens DeLay; Granddaughter, Leeanna Tweed; Grandson, Logan Tweed; Brother and Sister in Law, Ron and Elizabeth Stevens; Sister and Brother in Law, Claudette and Richard Warren and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents Omer and Irene Stevens.
It was Stanley’s wish not to have a memorial or funeral held in his honor. He was not fond of attending these events during his life, and he liked to remember his family and friends as they were when they were living.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.horisawardfairviewchapel.com for the Stevens family.
