Ronald was educated in Atlanta, Georgia. Ronald could always be seen reading his Bible, which led him to give his life to Jesus Christ at the early age of fifteen.
Ronald English married his wife, Hilda English on April 21, 1978. He was a loving and loyal husband for 46 and 1/2 years. He enjoyed watching television and laughing with his wife. He did whatever he could to bring a smile to his wife's face. He became a father to two wonderful children, Ronald, Jr., and Rosalind, who he always adored and loved. He had a tireless work ethic and always had the desire to provide, protect, and pray for his family.
Ronald had various hobbies. He enjoyed cooking, every Sunday he was going to have his traditional Southern cuisine with collard greens, fried chicken, and black-eyed peas, and it could never fail he was going to have his cornbread. He sometimes would cook an abundance of food as if he were feeding a crowd, but it was just his immediate family. Ronald also enjoyed being outside amongst nature, which included mowing his lawn, gardening, or just sitting on the porch enjoying God's creations. Ronald was an exceptional artist and enjoyed watching classic black-and-white cowboy movies.
Ronald was a dedicated and committed member of God's True Worshippers Church in The Lord Jesus in Decatur, Georgia. He understood what it is to have a servant's heart. He showed this by fellowshipping with the members of his church and serving in the community. He helped every Thursday with feeding the homeless, this would be done by making sandwiches with his other brothers and sisters in the faith or sometimes coming up to the church to help do some landscaping or cleaning the church. Ronald was profoundly serious about his walk with Jesus Christ, he was always praying and reading his Bible and was never afraid to share the word of God with anyone.
Ronald exemplified what a good husband, father, brother, son, and friend should be. He taught his son how to be a good man and showed his daughter what a good man is. He was the true example of a Godly man, who was after God's own heart.
He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Mae Wright, his sister Melvina Stodghill, and his twin granddaughters Lauren and London Aidoo.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda English; his children, Ronald (Ebony) English and Rosalind (Jonathan) Aidoo; grandchildren, Chelsea and Jackson Aidoo, Bernard Covington, DaJean Jones, Spencer Green, and Nehemiah McDow; his siblings, Donald English, Constance Montfort, Londenia Shropshire, Anita Wright, and Walter English; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
