She was born to Thomas and Anita Hays in Atlanta, Georgia on April 30, 1955. After graduating from high school, she married her husband, Charlie Hoeft. Together they had one son, Jayson Hoeft.
Rhonda loved spending time in the kitchen cooking for everyone. Many friends and family enjoyed the cakes and meals that she prepared. Arts and crafts were her love. She enjoyed being a paraprofessional for Lake City Elementary School for twenty years before she retired. She was a stay-at-home mom when Jayson was growing up. She was a long-time member of Ash Street Baptist Church prior to transferring to Eagles Landing First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of eighteen years, Charlie Hoeft, parents Thomas and Anita Hays, brother Tommy Hays, and in-laws Robert and Floyce Hoeft. She is survived by her only son, Jayson Hoeft of Stockbridge, Georgia, David and Patrice Hoeft of Williamson, Georgia, Bob and Judy Hoeft of San Antonio, Texas, and many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
