He was born on February 16, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Doris C. and Dwayne L. Brown.
Michael graduated from Fulton High School in 1970. He went on to become a master plumber and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local #72. Michael worked for many companies in the metro Atlanta area, but mostly worked with his father at his companies, Capitol Plumbing Company and DLB Plumbing Company. Michael retired in 2014 and loved every minute of it. He spent every healthy day on his beloved land in Stockbridge. His greatest joy was spending a sunny day on a tractor mowing fields.
Michael was a kind, loving, free spirit who loved and lived life to the fullest. He loved people and never met a stranger. He could tell a story like no other. He was a big man with a big personality and a big, infectious laugh. His smile lit up any room he entered and he left his mark on everyone he met. Michael was bold, generous and soulful. He was a lover of the great outdoors, tractors, trucks, a good country song, and pretty women.
Michael is survived by his sisters, Karen Brown Lindsey and Kimberly Brown Brunson (Clay); brother, Rodney S. Brown; nieces, Rachel Brunson and Catherine Brunson; nephew, Matthew Lindsey; dear friends, Dorrie Dobbs and Tommy Schwantes; and more good friends than can be counted.
