Lorene Lucille Odom

Lorene was born July 9, 1937 in Isabella, Tennessee. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church. She earned her commercial pilot's license in the 60's. After many years of service, she retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company. Her passion was sewing and making quilts for others.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Ruby Verner Bell; two siblings, Jo Ann Suits and Gerald Bell; first husband, Herold Turner and second husband, James Odom.

She is survived by one son, Tommy Turner (Kathy) of Stockbridge, GA; grandsons, Luke Turner, Carson Turner, and Matthew Turner; granddaughter, Brooke Beaver (Leon) of Alabama; great granddaughters, Arianna and Scarlett Beaver of Alabama; two sisters, Carol Racukmann of Denver, Colorado and Kathleen Pinson of Liburn, GA; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life memorial service for Lorene will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Union United Methodist Church | 4600 Hwy. 138 SW, Stockbridge, GA 30281. A second celebration of life memorial service will occur Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church | 474 Pleasant Hill Road, Copperhill, TN 37317.
