Betty was born on February 7, 1933 in Jackson, North Carolina to Ellis and Molly Wiggins. She met Harold Augustus Bryson over 71 years ago and he made her a promise, "If you marry me, I will take care of you for the rest of your life." Harold made and kept that promise to Betty and God until is passing on June 8, 2020.
Betty had a passion for flowers and loved making floral arrangements. She would work at a local florist from time to time. Another promise that Harold made to her was that she would become the published author that she always dreamed of becoming. This resulted in a beautiful story entited "The Tender Years."
She also had a passion for directing the Christmas programs. Those programs were huge for her and she lived to direct them for all to see. Betty never had an enemy in this world. She loved everyone. She had a character that was full of laughter and joy. She and her husband served faithfully at True Gospel Baptist Church in Forest Park, Georgia and later the family joined Way of the Cross Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband and son, Eugene Bryson.
Betty will always be in our hearts and her life will forever be cherished by her loving daughters, Gail Adams (Keith) and Shelia Webb (Brad); grandchildren, Sam Adams (Michelle), Stephen Adams (Robyn) and Misty Amerson (Khris); six great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon at Way of the Cross Baptist Church, 1640 Mount Carmel Road, McDonough, Georgia 30253, where the Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 Noon. The Interment will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia.
