Raymond Anthony Spohnholtz, age 77, of Stickney, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024. He was born August 20th, 1946 to the late Alfred and Josephine [nee Battaglia] Spohnholtz in Oak Park, Illinois.
Ray grew up in the town of Stickney, Illinois, and attended Morton West High School. He graduated in 1964. After high school he attended Southern Illinois University and earned an Associate Degree.
Ray worked for many years with the Mott Company as a machinist until they ultimately closed their doors in 2000. He would go on to run his own concrete laying business and often do work for friends.
Ray is preceded in death by his step-son, Jeffrey Petrick.
Ray is survived by his wife, Beverly [nee Welk], his sister, Marlyn Slone, his step-son, Brian Petrick, and his nephew, Victor Slone. He will also be deeply missed by many close friends.
