Timothy Eric "Moose" Lane

Timothy Eric “Moose” Lane, 60 of Staunton, passed away on October 4, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Takoma Park, MD, but spent most of his life in Staunton, VA. Tim never met a stranger. If he met you and talked to you, he considered you his friend. Moose loved the outdoors, but due to his failing health, was unable to enjoy much in the last part of his life. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and father. Tim is survived by his parents, Karen Michael and husband Gary, Wilson Lane and wife Gladys; his sister, Michelle Lane; a stepbrother, Alan Michael and wife Belinda; nephew Alex Lane and his wife Ellie, and special great nephew Rayden; children, Jeffrey and Stephanie Simmons. He is also survived by grandsons, Ashton, Nolan, Grant, Ryan, Talon and Chase. Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Emmy “Nanny” Schwarz; his former wife, Darlene Lane; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 6, 2021 at 2 PM at the Staunton Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1000 N. Coalter St., Staunton, VA 24401. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to Cat’s Cradle, P.O. Box 2128 Harrisonburg, VA 22803.
