Joseph Gregory Garber

Joseph (Joe) Gregory Garber died August 21, 2024 after a brief illness.
A Staunton native, Joe was the son of the late R Vernon and Virginia Brooks Garber and a graduate of the former Robert E Lee (Staunton) High School and Virginia Commonwealth University. A free lance artist, Joe had a keen interest in history of the American Revolution and was a participant in enactments of the period, in Jamestown, Virginia. Joe regularly submitted his works of art for display in area venues. Most recently, he was to have an exhibit of paintings of birds at the Waynesboro, Virginia library.
Joe was a devoted Uncle to his sister's two children, Colin and Genevieve. Joe is survived by the aforementioned, his sister, Mary Alice Garber of Washington and a number of cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev John Morrison of Joe's church, Community Fellowship Church in Staunton. The service will be held in Thornrose Cemetery at 1 pm, September 28, 2024.
