Ann Elizabeth Thomas Spotts, 87, of Staunton, passed away on July 10, 2021 in Dacula, Georgia.
Born August 16, 1933 in Staunton, she was the daughter of the late Louise and Russell Thomas.
She went to school at Robert E. Lee High School, Staunton. She married Gaines Thompson Spotts on June 12, 1954 at Central United Methodist Church, Staunton. She graduated from Dunsmore Business School. She worked as a Librarian Assistant for Staunton City School System for 20 years. She was involved in Bridge Clubs, Red Hat Society, United Methodist Women, Volunteered at Augusta Medical Center, and Staunton Free Clinic.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gaines Thompson Spotts.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Brower Spotts Palmer (Joel); sons, Daniel Gaines Spotts (Tanya), and John Russell Spotts (Suzanne); grandchildren, J. Nathaniel Palmer (Daniela), Andrew T. Palmer (Tracie), Tatiana Spotts Sanders (Joel), Nikkea A. Spotts, Shea Spotts Warren (Chase), Baylor Spotts Kiser (Trae’), B. Connor Spotts; and great-grandchildren, Noah and Gabriella Palmer, Taylor Palmer, Teagan, Easton, and Talan Sanders, Will and Lyla Kiser.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Thornrose Cemetery, 1041 W. Beverley St., Staunton with Pastor Won Un officiating. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 14 N. Lewis St., Staunton.
Memorials may be given to Central United Methodist Church or Agape Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 801087, Acworth, GA 30101.
