She went home to be with the Lord and her husband of 54 years, Roy E. Williams. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an active member of Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church. A native of Catawba County, North Carolina, she was born on October 3, 1937 to the late Dewey Houston and Naomi Duke Houston. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons, Deno Williams and Todd Williams, both of Troutman and by her daughter, Sheila Wiles (Chip) of North Wilkesboro. She is survived by eight grandchildren, Taylor Dunn, Caleb Williams, Abigail Williams, Macy Williams, Brendon Wiles, Joshua Wiles, Kayte Cantaral (Mathew) and Faith Wiles. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Bayleigh Dunn and Gavin Dunn and by two sisters, Minnie Gibson and Allie Eller, both of Statesville.
A service celebrating the life of Mrs. Williams will be held at 2:00 PM at Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church on Saturday, July 7, 2018 with Pastor Trent Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family received friends on Friday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
