Linda Elizabeth Bailey Hicks, 80, of Statesville, passed away on December 30, 2020 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. A native of Dooly County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Leander Hamilton Bailey, Sr. and Dora Irene Satterfield Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Bailey; by a sister-in-law, Patricia Bailey and by her grandson, Alan. She was a member of the Piedmont APA, loved to shoot pool and loved to play the slot machines.
Mrs. Hicks is survived by her son, Richard Ted Hicks and his wife Cheryl of Statesville; by a brother, Lee Bailey, Jr. and his wife Virginia of Unadilla, Georgia; by another brother, Richard Bailey of Unadilla, Georgia and by her sister, Leigh Ann Crumpton and husband Pat of Watkinsville, Georgia. Her granddaughters, Katie (Austin), Meridith (Ryan), Emily and Bailey; and great-grandchildren, Kylie, Delainey, Bentley, Max, Huntley and Claire also survive her.
A memorial service is not planned at this time.
