He was born in Clay Co., WV to Clyde and myrtle Tucker on November 9, 1934. The family moved to Akron, Ohio in 1941, where he met and married the love of his life Lois (Ruckman) Tucker when he was 19 and she was 16. He began his career in Akron in auto body repair, was a semi driver, realtor, land developer and auctioneer. Later in life he owned Ed Tuckers Hartville Exhaust and Brake and after retirement was mayor of Hartville for four years.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Lois of Statesville; sons, Kevin (Kim) Tucker of North Ridgeville, and David (Cindy) of Statesville, NC; daughters, Sherry Howell of Alliance and Shelley Rice of Alliance; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service in his honor will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Suffield Fellowship church, 1669 Waterloo Road, Suffield. The family will gather and receive friends from 10am-12pm with service to follow.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Suffield Fellowship church, 1669 Waterloo Road, Suffield.
