Bobby Gene Stroud

Born in Iredell County on June 5, 1949, he was the son of the late Paul Hodgson Stroud and Aileen Ratledge Stroud.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Jo Stroud Beam.

Bobby completed high school and was in the United States Army Reserves. He owned and operated Stroud Brothers Grading Company, alongside his brother, Dick, and was a member of Society Baptist Church.

He loved the outdoors, traveling and camping. He also enjoyed sawing lumber with the saw mill, and was a collector of antique tractors.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ann Feimster Stroud of the home; son, Steve Curtis Stroud (Christy) of Mocksville; daughter, Tamara S. Phillips of Hickory; one brother, Richard Jerry Stroud “Dick” of Mocksville and four grandchildren, Paul Holden Stroud, Austin Taylor Stroud, Trevor James Phillips and Grayson Alan Phillips.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, September 15, 2015 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Society Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Gilbreath officiating.
