Debbie Howell Harper, age 61 passed away, Monday, June 6, 2016 in her residence under the care of Compassionate Care Hospice.
Debbie was born in Savannah and lived many years in Candler County before moving to Brooklet. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed watching her grandchildren play and gardening and always made room for any child who needed a place to stay and treated them as her own.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Harper; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Rufus Howell, Jr.; her brothers, Del Howell and Thomas Howell and her granddaughter, Deanna Meredith.
Debbie is survived by her daughters, Missy Baker and her husband, Jody of Brooklet and Stacy Vincent and her husband, Brad of Register; sons, Steven Meredith and his wife, Nicole of Clyo; Jamie Meredith of Hinesville, Jimmy Meredith of Statesboro and Bobby Harper of Polk County, FL; grandchildren, Desiree, Avery, Sam, Bobby, Jr., Stephanie, Robert, Kyle, Devon, Erik, Destanie, Brad, Jr., Michael, Kieth, Makalia, Brionna, Stephaine, Mason, David, Rebecca, Hailey, Jada, Jamie, Abrianna and Zuri; brother, Larry Howell of Statesboro; niece, Christy Howell Hubbard and dear friends, Nan Farmer, Kathy Baker, Kieran Ashford and Mrs. Racheal and her beloved pets, Goober and Gigi.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
