A native Staten Islander, Victor lived his entire life in West Brighton and was a proud alumnus of Curtis High School. He was a Navy Veteran who served during the Korean War and was an active member of the American Legion Joseph Merrell Post 1368 (Staten Island, NY). He worked for the NYC Dept. of Transportation for many years and retired as borough supervisor.
Victor loved sports and was a devoted hockey fan, his favorite team being the NY Rangers. He was a passionate Blue seat season ticket holder for many years. He spent his free time watching various sports games live and on TV. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing and coaching softball for Madalone’s. He also enjoyed bowling and belonged to many leagues including the Knights of Columbus, Country Lanes and Madalone Coliseum.
Victor is survived by his loving wife Marie of 65 years, daughter Joanne Fargiano, son-in-law Paul and loving grandson Gerard and was pre-deceased by his granddaughter Olivia. He was a devoted “Poppy” to his two grandchildren. His most memorable times were spent watching Olivia perform in various school productions and watching Gerard play hockey at MSG as part of the Mites on Ice program. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and his cat Molly. Victor was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.

Visitation will be from 1:00 - 4:00 PM at Harmon Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 18. Funeral services for Victor will be a Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Staten Island, New York on Wednesday, January 19 at 10:00 am. Victor will be laid to rest at the St. Peter’s Cemetery in Staten Island, NY. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial donations to the American Parkinson Disease Association 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.
