Sean Haggerty

Sean Haggerty, age 64, passed away on February 19, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones at Hackensack University Medical Center after a brief battle with Leukemia. Sean was born February 9, 1959, in Staten Island, New York, to Joseph and Katherine Haggerty.

Sean is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Kathleen (Bush), and his cherished daughters Katie and Christine; a brother Kevin (Barbara) Haggerty and his sisters Maura Michels and Meg-Anne (Ted) Lukawski. Sean was predeceased by his parents, brothers Joseph (Jody) and Farrell Haggerty, sister-in-law Mary Haggerty, and mother-in-law Helen Bush. He was the devoted son-in-law of Gerard Bush and fond brother-in-law of Michael (Marion) Bush and Susan (John) Cizin. Sean was a loving uncle to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Sean graduated from Monsignor Farrell High School and Wagner College, where he played on the football and golf teams. Sean was a licensed Real Estate Broker and owner of Haggerty Homes. His most beloved job was working at Jody’s Club Forest with his nephew Terence.

Sean had a close relationship with his daughters, Katie and Christine, and would do anything for his “girls.” Devoted to the New York Giants and the New York Mets, they attended games locally and out of town. As a family, they spent time at the beach in Lavallette, NJ. An avid and accomplished golfer, Sean played year-round with the Silver Lake Men’s Club. Sean had many lifelong friends who will miss him dearly.

Relatives and friends may attend the viewing on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26, from 2 to 6 p.m at Casey Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Monday, February 27 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Interment will take place St. Peter's Cemetery.
