Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Attisano moved to West Brighton in the mid-1980s. He relocated to Florida in 2003.
He graduated from the former Power Memorial Academy and attended Pace University, both Manhattan.
Mr. Attisano was the purchasing agent supervisor for Broward County, Fla.
He was director of General Services for the city of New York from 1985 until 2003. He also worked at the sheriff's office in Manhattan.
Mr. Attisano ran for the 59th Assembly District, Brooklyn, in 1988 but lost to Elizabeth Connelly.
He loved politics, according to his nephew, Jimmy.
"At the drop of a hat he would talk politics."
Mr. Attisano also enjoyed caring for his two cats.
He is survived by his sister, Paula Tulino.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Richmond. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, L.I.
