Mary "Ronnie" McGinnis

McGinnis, Ronnie (Mary Veronica) (nee Reardon) age 85 passed away peacefully on Sunday October 13th, 2024, in her Staten Island, New York home. Ronnie was born on April 7th, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York to Michael and Mary Reardon (nee Cushing). She is predeceased by her parents and 7 siblings.

She was a loving mother to her 4 children April Guerra (Frankie), Lisa Schiano (Joey), Danny McGinnis (Glenda), And Michael McGinnis (Sheri), beloved Nanny to her 9 grandchildren Larry Gugliara (Melody), Jillian Nash (Patrick), Maggie Schiano (Bob), Jojo Schiano, Isabel, Daniel, and Grace McGinnis, and Rileigh and Michael McGinnis. Great Nanny to Larry and Jeremy Gugliara, Layla Rostron, and James Nash.

Ronnie was the epitome of a devoted mother and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of unconditional selflessness and unending love. Her children and grandchildren were the very essence of her existence, and she poured her heart and soul into nurturing and cherishing them. Whether it was baking cake, cookies or cupcakes for every occasion, or just simply talking for hours on the phone, she always showered them with love and affection, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Ronnie was happiest when her loved ones were gathered around her filling her home with laughter, sharing a meal or watching the New York Yankees. With each family gathering she created a legacy of love and togetherness that will be cherished forever.

Ronnie will be deeply missed by her adoring family as well as her numerous nieces, nephews and friends, whom she deeply cherished.

A visitation for Ronnie will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314. A visitation will occur Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314.

A religious ceremony will occur Friday, October 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 1091 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310.

A committal service will occur Friday, October 18, 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309.
