Linda Ann Galeota, of Rossville, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the age of 70. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend. Her kind heart, generosity, and infectious smile will live on in our hearts forever.
Born in Brooklyn on October 18, 1953, to John and Gloria Picarello, Linda lived her life loving & being surrounded by her family, shopping, and cleaning. Linda graduated from Midwood High School in 1971. After high school, she began working for AT&T as an administrative assistant. During that time, she met the love of her life, Nicholas, whom she married in 1975 which began a 48-year marriage. They migrated to Eltingville, where they began their family in 1981, welcoming their daughter, Nicole, and then their daughter Amanda in 1987.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed shopping at her favorite stores like Target and Home Goods, as well as JC Penney where she enjoyed a 25-year career as a sales associate and made lifelong friends.
Her grandchildren, Nicholas and Olivia, and Goddaughter Gia were the lights of her life whom she loved spending time with playing cards, enjoying Sunday dinners, and spoiling them each holiday.
Linda’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those she touched in her lifetime. She began many traditions with her family which will continue as her lasting legacy.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Nicholas, adoring daughters Nicole and Amanda, her favorite sons-in-law Jason and Michael, grandchildren Nicholas and Olivia, loving brother and sister-in-law Michael and Rose, Goddaughter Gia, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Camille and Anthony and nieces and nephews Justin, Adrienne, Mary, and John.

Friends and Family are invited to celebrate Linda’s life on Thursday, July 25, 2024 and Friday, July 26, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Casey-McCallum Rice Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 9:45 AM at St. Clare Church, 110 Nelson Avenue Staten Island, NY 10308. A committal service will occur thereafter at 11:00 AM at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309.
